Vibration Stabiliser To Reduce Distortion
ALLEGRO has been designed to apply the musical benefits of the GN LEGACY VS-4
Vibration Stabiliser to ALLEGRO cable. The vibration stabiliser has been specially designed
to reduce audible cable distortion in cables by limiting the effects of vibrations travelling
through the conductor wires which can cause audible distortion to your music.
Precision UK Manufactured 75 Ohm Cable With Silver Plated Conductors
ALLEGRO uses a unique UK manufactured 75 Ohm cable. Silver plated conductors allow
superior high frequency transmission to be achieved through superior conductivity.
Silver Plated Wires for Superior Clarity of Sound and Clearer Highs.
Silver wire is well known for its superior sound quality. The relatively high cost of pure
silver wire compared with copper precludes its use in all but the high end ranges of audio
cables. A very cost effective compromise is the application of a thin surface of silver over
copper wire. As higher frequencies travel over the outer surface of the wire, the silver
plated wire in ALLEGRO delivers a large part of the sound quality benefits of silver at a
small extra fraction of the cost.
Anti RFI / EMI Technology to Further Reduce Distortion.
ALLEGRO is covered in a tightly braided screen to protect the inner cores from picking up
radio frequency interference (RFI). Further screening is provided by twisting the cores. An
untwisted cable has a large surface area that can more easily pick up RFI/EMI signals
generated from Radio, Wifi, Mobile Phones and even central heating systems. The screen is
connected at only end in the RCA terminated cable only to prevent ‘loop aerials’ between
equipment picking up noise.
This reduces the amount of audible distortion in the cable, allowing cleaner, clearer sounds
to be enjoyed from your equipment.
ALLEGRO is protected from the RFI by two large ferrite cores located close to each of the
plugs. This prevents RFI noise voltages from entering the equipment at either end and
distorting the music by inter-modulation effects.
Low Loss PTFE Insulation Used To Reduce Time Smeared Distortion.
The silver plated wires in ALLEGRO are insulated in PTFE because its low dielectric loss
ensures extremely low distortion. This is due to dielectric absorption effects in which sound
energy is absorbed in the insulation and released at a later interval of time to create highly
audible time-smearing distortion.
High End Rhodium Plated Connectors
ALLEGRO is terminated with ultra-high quality Graham Nalty Legacy Range GN-4 RCA
connectors. These have been specially manufactured to ensure that Black Rhodium cables
deliver the very best sound quality possible.
ALLEGRO can also be terminated with gold plated BNC connectors.
